Who We Are
What is our vision for a sustainable and resilient community? We want to eat with the seasons, know our neighbors, get to most places without a car. We want everyone to have access to quality food and water, affordable food and housing, good livelihood. We want to see social and biological justice in our communities. We want to build a low-maintenance money system and explore the Gift economy. We want local food, local money, local energy. We want true community connection and interaction. We want resource security, reskilling, permaculture, networking. We want to build communities where we share, not hoard. We want good places to go where we can have great discussions. We want art, music, and dancing in the streets. We want pesticides out of our communities. We want biological diversity and biological security. We want the library to be a center for culture, thought, ideas. We want lawns as gardens. We want stories and storytelling. We want to share labor and tools. We want to talk to plants, hug trees, and sing with the wind. We want spaces where we can do all these things, spaces that are environmentally safe and beautiful. We want to be able to express ourselves and not try to change our true nature to mollify particular political interests. We want peace.
